James Harker of Spring End seems to be the father of Margaret Harker b1763.  There are some references to James Harker of Spring End that may be relevant.  The marriage of 50 year old James Harker of Spring End to 32 year old Phyllis Harker in 1759 and the death of Elizabeth Harker the wife of James Harker of Spring End in 1768.

The name Phyllis features highly in the names of Margaret's children such that her parents could easily have been James and Phyllis.  Is it possible that Phyllis died and then James remarried to Elizabeth before 1768.  No death of Phyllis Harker or marriage of James to Elizabeth can be found.

The name Phillis also features promanently in Margaret brother, Simon's children.  So it is reasonably likely that their mother was Phyllis as per the marriage below.

From a childrens naming perspective the most likely baptism is one of the James as being the father.  The baptism date around 1763 or 1764 also aligns with her burial age of 55 in 1818.
