From the marriage certificate: Marriage by Banns in the Church of England Parish of Honington in the county of Suffolk, on 1st February 1840, William Crosby of full age, bachelor, labourer of Ixworth, father John Crosby, labourer, married Maria Taylor, aged 19, spinster of Honington, father John Taylor, labourer. In the presence of Matilda Staff and David Staff.

A Matilda Staff and David Staff were witnesses at Maria's wedding.  A David Staff married a Susan Taylor in 1813 and had a child Matilda in 1821.  It is presumed that Susan is John Taylor's brother. That makes David and Matilda Staff as Maria's Uncle and cousin.

Maria's family lived in 79 High Street Ixworth.  Note High Street was also called Ixworth Street.

At the time of her death Maria was a Monthly Nurse the widow of William Crosby a farm labourer.  An Annie Taylor witnessed Maria's death.  Annie could have been a Taylor relative.

Susan is presumed to be John Taylor's sister as her daughter, Matilda and Susan's husband, David, signed the Wedding registration of William Crosby and Maria Taylor's marriage.  That David and Matilda were most likely Maria's Uncle and cousin.
