Mary Lindsay is living with her husband and family in the 1841 census at Cambusnethan.  Her age is given as 50-54.  She is a widow in the 1851 census with some of her children and grandchildren.  Her age is given as 60 and born at Stonehouse.
These ages seem too low.  Her death registration seems more reasonable with a birth about 1779-1781.  This would also mean she was about 23-25 when married.

Death: In the Parish of Cambusnethan at Kirk Knowe on 28 July 1855 Mary Lindsay died aged (74 or 76) years.  She had been born at Stonehouse and had lived in Camnethan for 51 years. Her father was John Sommerville, farmer (deceased) and mother was Mary Sommerville, maiden name Brechen (deceased).  Husband was James Lindsay (deceased).  Children were Mary 50, Janet 45, William 42, Agnes 37 and Barbara 28.  She was buried at Camnethan New Churchyard.  Informant was William Lindsay, son.
