Elizabeth was listed as 65 in the 1841 census and 72 at her death in 1849, and 74 at her burial in 1849. This would suggest her date of birth as between 1772 and 1777.
At the time of her marriage in 1801 both John Storey, a bachelor, and Elizabeth Dinnin, a spinster, were of the parish of Whalton, Northumberland.
Both John Storey and Elizabeth Storey were listed as not being from the County when the 1841 census was taken in Sunderland or Monkwearmouth Shore. In the 1851 Census John Storey was listed as being born at Whalton, Northumberland.
The only two Elizabeth Dinnings with baptism records around that time in Northumberland are one born to Anthony Dinning and Ann at Birtley on 5 Nov 1775 and one to William Dinin and Elizabeth on 15 May 1776 at Stamfordham.
Whalton is about 12km North east of Stamfordham. Birtley is about 24km South East of Stamfordham.
As the names Elizabeth and William are well used family names and none show Anthony or Ann and the location of Stamfordham aligns with those of some of her children it is assumed Elizabeth was born at Stamfordham.
