There is a burial of a Thomas Maunder in 1809. Unfortunately no age is recorded.
Burial: Romsey - Tho Maunder buried 6 April 1809 - FHL 1041216This death may relate to this Thomas as he most likely had no more children after 1806. Note that Thomas' last three children Charles (born about 1804), William (born about 1805) and George (born 1806) were all baptised on 4 February 1818 although they were most likely all born much earlier. The order of the children in the baptism record of 4 February 1818 was Charles, William and then George.
These baptism records in 1818 list the childrens parents as Thomas and Elizabeth Maunder with the fathers trade listed as cabinet maker. There is no inference that the parents were deceased.
There is also a burial of an Elizabeth Maunder in 1816 that could be that of Thomas' second wife. Romsey Parish Bishop Transcripts of burials - 21 March 1816, Elizabeth Maunder aged 46 years.
There are no entries in the 1823 or 1830 Romsey Directories of a Maunder. This could mean that Thomas was deceased, he had moved away or he was employed by someone as a cabinet maker.
It is assumed that this Mary was baptised in 1749 in Romsey as the daughter of Edward. Edward had as least three children Mary, baptised in 1743; Thomas, baptised in 1746; and Mary, baptised in 1749. The name Edward flows through to Mary's first son.

Francis Garben - Curate. Witnesses: William West, Richard GodfreyIn the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census Charlotte's age was listed such that she was born from 1807 to 1811. The 1851 census lists her birth at Hants Romsey and in 1861 it lists Hants Rumsey.
On her death certificate where she died on 11 February 1863, as the wife of Richard Goddard, Carter for a Tallow Chandler, her age is given as 66. That is she was born about 1797.
There are no birth records of a Charlotte Maunder, daughter of Thomas that are close to the dates that relate to the ages listed in the census records. It is assumed that Charlotte reduced her age in the census by about 10 years. She was about 17 years older than her husband Richard Goddard. The Thomas Maunder who had a child Charlotte in 1798 in Romsey was a cabinet maker as listed in the baptism records of his children Charles, William and George. This aligns closely with Charlotte's death certificate.

source film number: 1041216It is assumed that William was born in about 1805 as he was baptised together with his brothers Charles and George on 4 February 1818 and he was listed between them. Charles was born in about 1804 and George was born in 1806. Similarly, William is assumed to be born in or near Romsey as all the other children were born in Romsey.
No William born in Romsey in about 1805 has been identified in the census records. However there is a William Maunder referenced as born in Southampton, Hampshire in 1805 in the 1841 Middlesex and 1851 Middlesex Census as a Schoolmaster married to Mary (possibly Mary Squires). This William died before 1861 as Mary Maunder is a widow in the 1861 census.
