Pioneer Resident Had Lived In Nanaimo For Past 47 Years
Mrs. Mary Ann Gourley. relict of the late James Gourley. who predeceased her Jan. 22. of this year, passed away in Seattle yesterday afternoon, while on a visit to her sons, Peter and David.
Deceased was born in Roddens, County Down, North Ireland, 80 years ago. and had resided in Nanaimo for the past 47 years, gaining many friends, who will deeply regret her passing.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. James Currie, of San Maria, Calif.; and two sons, Peter, of Black Diamond, Wash. and David, of Seattle. Nine grandchildren also survive.
Remains will arrive in this city at noon tomorrow Funeral arrangements are in the hands of D J Jenkins. Ltd. and will he announced later.
