Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Wheeler Cemetery with the Rev. Tom Woodward, pastor First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Wright Funeral Home.
Mrs. Christie was born January 9, 1922, in Monroe, Mich. to James Edwin and Edith Margaret Armstrong Vivian. She attended St. Mary's Academy in Monroe, Mich. and worked as a bookkeeper for Kent's Harley-Honda in Abilene. She lived in Abilene until moving to Wheeler in 1987. She was an avid bridge player. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of Heavenly Rest in Abilene.
She was preceded in death by one son Tim, in 2005, her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
Survivors include; a daughter, Sharon Wright and husband Jim of Wheeler; three sons, Dennis Christie and wife Wanda of Magnolia, Robert H. Christie, Jr. of Spring Branch and George E. Christie and wife Shirley of Eastland; one daughter-in-law, Janice Hall of Hovland, Minn; one brother: James E. Vivian, Sr. of Alpena, Mich.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
